Mrs. Grace Ellen Bucher, 72, widow of Harvey W. Bucher, died at her home, 122 North Fifth Street, Sunbury, at 11:04 p.m. Thursday. Death terminated an illness of the past five, months.
Mrs. Bucher was Shamokin, March 4, 1890, a daughter of the late Harry Raymond and Melinda Snyder Niehoff. She had resided in Sunbury since 1919.
Her husband preceded her in death in 1948.
She was a member of Zion Lattheran Church, Sunbury, American Legion Post 201 Auxiliary, and Sunbury Social Club Auxiliary.
Surviving are two daughters, and three sons, Mrs. Eleanor Weyand, Wildwood, N.J.; Charles W. Bucher, Chester J. Bucher, Mrs. June Holub, and Douglas Bucher, all of Sunbury, 10 grandchildren and a great-grandchild. She was the last member of her immediate family.
Services will be held from Dornsife funeral home, Sunbury, Monday at 1:30 p.m., in charge of Rev. Dr. Walter B. Freed, her pastor. Interment will be in Sunbury Cemetery.
Friends will be received at the funeral home Sunday from 7 to p.m.

Grace married Harvey William Bucher, son of Charles Anderson Bucher and Christiana Drumm.
