Mrs. Matilda D. Bucher, 80, widow of John N. Bucher, died at 10:30 p. m. Saturday at the home of Mrs. Pearl Plotts, Milton, where she had resided since January.
Mrs. Bucher, who before January made her home with her grandson, Robert D. Bucher, at 305 Walnut street, Milton, had been critically ill three days.
She was born October 21, 1871, in Turbut township and spent most of her life in the Milton area. She was a member of St. John's Evangelical and Reformed Church, Milton. Her only son, Merlin E. Bucher, preceded her in death.
Surviving, in addition to her grandson, who now lives at 672 Shakespeare avenue, are one great-grandson, Scott Allen Bucher, of Milton; one brother, Jesse Hoy, of Milton R. D., and a sister, Mrs. Mollie Wagner, of Lewisburg.
Services will be held at 2 p. m. Tuesday at the Dale E. Ranck funeral home with Rev. Clarence Moyer, of St. John's church, officiating. Burial will be in Harmony cemetery. Friends may visit the home tonight from 7 to 9 o'clock.
