She was the wife of James Hedges, who conducts the largest dry goods house in Cynthiana. She was fifty-seven years of age, and leaves her husband and daughter-in-law, Mrs. Mattie Morris. Martha married Thomas Norris Jr., son of Thomas Norris Sr. and Margaret "Maggie" Berry, on 7 Jul 1863 in Lexington, Fayette, KY.1 (Thomas Norris Jr. was born in 1837 in Philadelphia, Philadelphia, PA, died on 31 Aug 1895 in Lexington, Fayette, KY 9 and was buried on 1 Sep 1895 in Lexington: Lexington Cemetery, Fayette, KY 9.)
