Wrightsville Man and Delroy Girl Married in Bride's Home - Hallam
Hallam, June 6 -- Paul A. Beecher, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Beecher, Wrightsville, and Miss Verna M. Kraft, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Kraft, Delroy, were married at the Reformed parsonage, by the REv. Walter E. Garrett, on Saturday evening at 6 o'clock. The newleyweds will reside in Wrightsville. Mrs. Beecher was actively identified with the Canadochly Reformed church. She was one of the leading sopranos in the choir, taught in the premary department and was much interested in the young people's work of the church. Mr. Beecher is employed as a clerk in the Pennsylvania railroad station at Wrightsville.

Born in East Prospect, she was a daughter of the late Wesley and Mary Stauffer Kraft.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Wrightsville, and of the churches' Fidelity Sunday School Class and the Lutheran Women's Society. She also was a member of the Half-Century Fellowship Club of St. Matthew's Lutheran Church, York; Lutheran Home Auxiliary of York; American Association of Retired Persons; and the Auxiliary to York Commandery 21, Knights Templar.
Surviving in addition to her husband are four children, Mary K. Beecher, at home; Mrs. Julia L. Brattin, Aurora, Ill.; Paul E. Beecher, Lancaster, and Mrs. Audrey E. Lower, Biglerville R. 2; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, and four sisters and brothers, Mrs. John Abel, John Kraft and Mrs. Jacob Lehman, all of York R. 12, and Mrs. Hollis Kocher, Hellam.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, Inc, 700 Hellam St., with her pastor, the Rev. James R. Nace, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Wrightsville.


Verna married Paul Allen Beecher, son of Jacob Mallalieu Beecher and Mary Emma Roth, on 4 Jun 1921 in Hallam, York, PA.1 (Paul Allen Beecher was born on 8 Jan 1896 in Wrightsville, York, PA,19 20 21 22 23 24 died on 15 Apr 1988 in Wrightsville, York, PA 5 21 24 and was buried on 18 Apr 1988 in Wrightsville: Fairview Cemetery, York, PA 5 21.)
