Hallam, June 6 -- Paul A. Beecher, son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Beecher, Wrightsville, and Miss Verna M. Kraft, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Kraft, Delroy, were married at the Reformed parsonage, by the Rev. Walter E. Garrett, on Saturday evening at 6 o'clock. The newleyweds will reside in Wrightsville. Mrs. Beecher was actively identified with the Canadochly Reformed church. She was one of the leading sopranos in the choir, taught in the premary department and was much interested in the young people's work of the church. Mr. Beecher is employed as a clerk in the Pennsylvania railroad station at Wrightsville.

Her condition was reported satisfactory last night at York hospital. Police said the accident occurred at about 5:40 p.m. Saturday.

He was the husband of the late Verna M. Beecher. He was born in Wrightsville, son of the late Jacob and Mary Roth Beecher. He was a retired employee of the Pennsylvania Railroad.
Surviving are three daughters, Mary K. Beecher, at home, Julia L. Brattin of Aurora, Ill., Audrey E. Lower of Biglerville; one son, Paul E. Beecher of Lancaster; eight grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
Services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Etzweiler Funeral Home, Inc., 700 Hellam St., Wrightsville. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Wrightsville. Viewing will be Monday from 1 p.m. until time of services.
Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 423 Hellam St., Wrightsville, Pa. 17368.

His pastor, the Rev. Shelley J. Bobb, will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Trinity Lutheran Church, 423 Hellam St., Wrightsville, Pa., 17368.

Mr. Beecher of 327 Locust St. died at 12:40 a.m. Friday at the St. Lutheran Home of York. He was the husband of the late Verna M. Kraft Beecher.

He retired in 1962 from the Pennsylvania Railroad after 48 years of employment.

He was a member of Trinity St. Lutheran Church; a 50-year member of Riverside Lodge 503, Free and Accepted Masons; a member of the York Commandery 21, Knights Templar, the Howell Royal Arch Chapter 199; the York Forest 30, Arai Cedars of Lebanon; the Half Century Fellowship Club of St. Matthew Lutheran Church; and the Wrightsville Senior Center.

Mr. Beecher was born in Wrightsville, a son of the late Jacob and Mary Roth Beecher.

Survivors include:
A son Paul E. Beecher, Lancaster.
Three daughters - Mary K. Beecher, at home; Julia L. Brattin, Aurora, Ill., and Audrey E. Lower, Biglerville.
Eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.


Paul married Verna M. Kraft, daughter of Wesley Edwin Kraft and Mary Magdalene Stauffer, on 4 Jun 1921 in Hallam, York, PA.1 (Verna M.
