2. Census in 1900 in Lancaster, Lancaster, PA. ² The 1900 census recorded renting a home at 39 S. Lemon: Melinda Beecher, widow, 49 [error - should be 59], born Jan 1841, living with her two sons: William W., single, 42, Oct 1857 [ error - 1870 and 1880 census and tombstone indicate he was born 1867]; and John, single, 21, Sep 1878. Both sons are employed as loaders. The census children's columns indicate Melinda had given birth to 4 children by 1900, with 2 still alive that year. Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania.

3. Residence: 39 West Lemon Street, Lancaster, PA on 30 Oct 1906 in Lancaster, Lancaster, PA. ³
