Frances (Horn) Kline, 90, a resident of the Fritzingertown Country Home, Drums, formerly of East Broad Street in Hazleton, died early this morning at the Hazleton General Hospital. For more than 30 years, until her retirement in 1982 at age 82, she had been employed as a proofreader for the Standard-Speaker. Born in Cementon, she was a daughter of the late Robert and Katherine (Neff) Horn, and had resided in the Hazleton area most of her life. She was a member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church, Hazleton, where for more than 40 years she taught the Tressler Bible Class. Mrs. Kline was a member of the Woman's Missionary Society and sang in the church choir from 1945 until 1982. She was also a member of the Hazleton General Hospital Auxiliary. Preceding her in death, in addition to her parents, were two brothers, Alden, who died in 1979, and Burton, who died in 1977. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Nancy) Brian, Solon, Ohio; two grandchildren, one niece and one nephew. Funeral services will be held Saturday at noon from the Krapf and Hughes Funeral Home, 426 W. Broad St., Hazleton. The Rev. Jeffrey A. Snyder, pastor of St Paul's United Methodist Church, will conduct the services. Interment will follow in the Union Cemetery, Slatington. Friends may call at the funeral home, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions to the St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 133 Green St., Hazleton, or to the Fritzingertown Country Home, Drums, Pa., 18222, are welcomed by the family.
