Mother of S-S Employee Dies
Mrs. Kathryn E. (Neff) Horn, 89, formerly of 134 South St. Cloud street, Allentown, died Friday morning at the Evangelical Congregational Home at Myerstown. She was the mother of Mrs. Frances E. Kline, of Hazleton, a member of the Standard-Speaker proofreading department. She was the widow of Robert W.P. Horn. Mrs. Horn was born in Neffs, Pa., the daughter of the late William and Priscilla Eck Neff. She was a resident of Allentown many years and was a member of the Grace Evangelical Congregational Church of that city. She taught Sunday School for 50 years. Surviving in addition to Mrs. Kline are two sons, Burton D. Horn, Mt. Pocono, and Alden D. Horn, Allentown; three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. E.A. Lambert, Wilmington, Delaware and Mrs. Frank Troxell, Allentown. Funeral services will be held Monday at 10 a.m. at the Stephens Funeral Home, 1335-37 Linden street, Allentown. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Slatington. Viewing will be 7 to 8:30 Sunday night.


Kathryn married Robert William Peter Horn, son of Charles William Horn and Isabella Rebecca Peter, on 8 Mar 1898 in Hokendauqua, Lehigh, PA.1 (Robert William Peter Horn was born on 28 Sep 1874 in Slatington, Lehigh, PA,1 7 8 12 13 died on 7 Aug 1955 in Allentown, Lehigh, PA 1 12 13 and was buried on 10 Aug 1955 in Slatington: Union Cemetery, Lehigh, PA 1 12 13.)
