3. Obituary: Lancaster New Era on 30 Dec 1925 in Lancaster, Lancaster, PA. ⁶ Jacob B. Buchen, of Farmersville, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Menno B, Martin , about one mile south of Ephrata, on Tuesday morning at 7:30 o'clock from apolexy, ages 83 years. He is survived by his wife, who was Miss Magdalena Martin, before marriage, and the following children: M. M. Buchen of Akron; Aaron M. of Farmersvile; Fannie, wife of Milton Hufford, and Annie, wife of Samuel Radcliffe, of Lancaster; Elizabeth, wife of Menno B. Martin, with whom he resided, and Amelia, of Farmersville. Nineteen grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral services will be held privately fronm the home of his daughter, Mrs. Menno B. Martin on Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock with further public services at 2 o'clock at the Grofdale Brick Mennonite church. Interment will be made in the adjoining cemetery.

They had been married 34 years and Magdalena had birthed 7 children, 6 still alive in 1900. Everyone and their parents were born in Pennsylvania.
