"Tom" Bucher, 62, of 231 High St., Cashtown, died Monday morning, Feb. 26, 1990, at his home. Born in Gettysburg, he was the son of John C. and Margaret M. Boyer Bucher of Cashtown. He was the husband of Jane Ann Miller Bucher. Mr. Bucher was a member of Flor's Lutheran Church in McKnightstown. He was employed with the Bucher Brothers Fruit Farm in Cashtown and most recently had been employed with the Aero Oil Co. in New Oxford. A 1945 graduate of the Arendtsville Vocational School, he was also a member of the Adams County Fruit Growers Association, Cashtown Community Fire Co. and Adams County Volunteer Firemens Association. A 32nd Degree Mason, he was a member of Good Samaritan Lodge 336 F&AM, the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Harrisburg Consistory, Zembo Shrine of Harrisburg, and the Central Penn Scottish Rite Club. Surviving also is one daughter, Sue Ann Wentz of Cashtown; one son, J. Gregg Bucher of Cashtown, and six grandchildren. The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Flohr's Lutheran Church in McKnightstown, with the Rev. Douglas Y. Boden, the Rev. Robert Schiebel, the Rev. Charles E. Falk Jr. and Harold Miller Sr. officiating. Burial will be in Flohr's Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the service Wednesday at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to Gettysburg Health Care Foundation, 424 S. Washington St., Gettysburg, 17325. Monahan Funeral Home in Gettysburg is in charge of arrangements.
