Frantz S. Steckel, husband of Llllle M., nee Knerr, Steckel, of 817 Gordon St.. died at his home Wednesday in his 80th year. He had been in ill health the past three weeks.
Born in Northampton county, he was a son of the late George and Lucinda, nee Unangst, Steckel, and he resided in this city the past four and a half years. Prior to moving to Allentown he had operated a farm at Center Valley.
He was a member of the 12th St.. Baptist church.
Besides his widow, he ts survived by six children: Edwin M., Wescosville R. 1; William G., Center Valley; Belva, wife of Asher Abel, Allentown; Jennie B., at home; Mabel, wife of Harry Parks, Allentown, and Private Robert F., Fort Bragg. N. C; three brothers, John and Erwin, both of Easton, and Wilson of Philltpsburg, N. J.; five sisters, Mrs. Ella Woodring, Mrs. Alice Raub, Mrs. Stella Illlck, Mrs. Mary Heinline and Mrs. Clara Benner all of Easton. Fifteen grand children and two great-grandchildren also survive.
Rev. Norman Cressman will officiate at funeral services to be held from the Trexler funeral home, 116 S. 8th St., on Friday at 2 p. m. with interment to follow in the Cedarville Union cemetery.

Frantz married Lillian Mantaina Knerr, daughter of Willoughby Knerr and Martha Ann C.
