Mrs. Verna E. Beecher, widow of John R. Beecher, died on Saturday at her home in Centerville. She was 71 years old. She was a member of the Centerville Lutheran Church.
She is survived by three sons, Harold, Centerville; Lynn of Carlisle and Donald, RD 5; a daughter, Mrs. Nevin Ledane, Centerville; two brothers, Thomas Moore, Greencastle; and Lynn, Shippensburg; five sisters, Mrs. Earl Bowers and Mrs. Grace McBeth, both of Walnut Bottom; Mrs. Clever Miles, Shippensburg; Mrs. Harold Stambaugh, Carlisle and Mrs. Pearl Naugle, RD 5; 19 grandchildren and six-great-granchildren.
The funeral service will be held tomorrow at 2 p.m., at the Rearick Funeral Home, Newville, with her former pastor, the Rev. Laverne Stough officiating. Burial will be in the Centerville Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home tonight from 7 to 8 o'clock.
