Also in the home is a lodger: Nevin Le Dane, 19. Everyone was born in Pennsylvania.

The ceremony was performed May 1 in the First Presbyterian Church, Denton, Texas, by the Rev. H. J. Goodykoontz.
The bride wore a dress of blue crepe with navy and white accessories. Her corsage was of sweetheart roses.
The attendants were Pvt. and Mrs. R. Wallace Kann. Private Kahn's home is at 23 North Queen street, Shippensburg, and Mrs. Kann is the former Miss Twyla Wolfe of Walnut Bottom.
The bride was graduated from Carlisle High school in 1937 and is employed at Dickinson.
Private LeDane attended Carlisle High school and was employed by the state fish hatchery at Huntsdale before he entered service. He now is spending a furlough with his wife and other relatives and friends in the community. He is stationed at camp Howze, Texas, with the 342nd Infantry.

9. Obituary: Harrisburg Patriot-News: obituary of Evenlyn B. LeDane on 28 Sep 2008 in Harrisburg, Dauphin, PA. ⁶ Evelyn B. LeDane, 88, formerly of Centerville, Penn Twp., PA, died September 12, 2008 at Rest Haven, Schuylkill County.
Born in Walnut Bottom, PA on April 2, 1920, Evelyn was the only daughter born to the late John Raymond Beecher and Verna E. Moore Beecher.
She was the widow of C. Nevin LeDane, who preceded her in death on November 15, 1998.
Surviving are four children, John T. LeDane, husband of Rose of Centerville, Linda L. Hummel Gingrich, wife of John Gingrich of Landisburg, Kathy L. Rock Townley, wife of John H. Townley of Pine Grove, and David N. LeDane, husband of Maria of Columbia, MD. Evelyn is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Lynn, and Donald Beecher.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Auer Memorial Home and Cremation Services, Harrisburg.
Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at 2 p.m., on Saturday, October 4, 2008 at Centerville Lutheran Church, where she was an active member for much of her life. Interment will be at Centerville Memorial Park.

Evelyn married Charles Nevin LeDane, son of Thomas Hill LeDane and Susan Matilda Miller, on 1 May 1943 in Denton, Denton, TX.¹ (Charles Nevin LeDane was born on 28 Nov 1921 in Huntsdale, Cumberland, PA,^{4 7 15} died on 15 Nov 1998 in Newville, Cumberland, PA ^{4 6 7 15 16} and was buried in Newville: Centerville Memorial Park, Cumberland, PA ^{4 15 16}.)
