8. Obituary: Evening Sun: obituary of Mrs. Sherman A. Ruth on 23 Jun 1975 in Hanover, York, PA. ³ E. Estella Ruth, 84, York, born and reared in Spring Grove, died Saturday evening at the York Hospital. She was the wife of Sherman A. Ruth and was a daughter of the late Edward and Lovinra [sic] Stambaugh Beecher. Mrs. Ruth was a life-long member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Spring Grove. Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Grace Myers, Plymouth Meeting; a son, Edward W. Ruth, York RD 8; two grandchildren; four great -grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. George Hoffman, Hanover; Mrs. Esther Berkheimer and Mrs. Marie Boyer, both of York. the funeral will be held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Etzweiler funeral home, York, with the Rev. William C. Sowers, and Rev. Robert K. Shaull officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Rose Cemetery, York. Friends may call at the funeral home Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
