Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Nettie Steigleman Beecher. She and her husband, Willis B. Denlinger, would have been married 52 years on Friday.

Surviving in addition to her husband are one daughter, Faith A., wife of John N. Hollern of Columbia; one son, Bruce A., husband of Trudi Quinn Denlinger of Stroudsburg; one granddaughter; and two sisters, Edith, wife of Raymond Wenger of Salunga, and Elnora Myers of Lititz.

Stella married Willis Buckwalter Denlinger Jr., son of Willis Buckwalter Denlinger Sr. and Mae Eby Myer, on 8 May 1946 in , Lancaster, PA.1 2 (Willis Buckwalter Denlinger Jr. was born on 29 Sep 1922 in Paradise Twp., Lancaster, PA,1 2 10 died on 26 Jun 2002 in Lancaster, Lancaster, PA 2 4 10 and was buried in Paradise Township: Paradise Mennonite Cemetery, Lancaster, PA 10.)
