11. Obituary: Kokomo Tribune: obituary of Kenneth W. Beecher on 21 Jan 1968 in Kokomo, Howard, IN. ⁶ PERU -- Kenneth W. Beecher, 64. of Michigan City, formerly of Miami County, died in the Memorial Hospital, Sarasola. Fla., Friday. He had moved there just one week ago. He was a retired Norfolk and Western Railroad freight agent. Born in Miami County, Jan. 28, 1903, he was the son of William and Mary (Hoover) Beecher. Survivors are the widow, Ethel Deisch Beecher; two sons, William Beecher, Atlanta. Ga., and Wayne Beecher, Peru R. R. 3; and three grandchildren. He had lived in Michigan City for 17 years. Funeral services will be at the McCain Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Tuesday , with the Rev. Charles Patterson of Michigan City officiating. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Mexico. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
