He was the husband of Jean M. (Moore) Beecher and the late Olive Ethel (Leighton) Beecher. He was the owner and operator of Beecher's Bicycle Service, Allentown, for 28 years before retiring in 1964. Born in Pughtown, Chester County, he was a son of the late William A. and Laura (Whitman) Beecher. He was a member of Asbury Methodist Church, Allentown, where he was secretary of the men's Sunday school class for many years. Surviving with his widow are two daughters, Esther, wife of Alfred Danas of Allentown, and Ethel, wife of Walter Mehlman of Northampton; a sister, Mrs. William Dillman of Pottstown, and nine grandchildren. Graveside services at 10:45 a.m. Saturday in Grandview Cemetery, Allentown, will be followed by memorial services at 11 in the church. A calling period will be 10-10:30 a.m. Saturday in the Trexler Funeral Home, 1625 Highland St., Allentown.
