2. Census in 1920 in Mahanoy Twp., Schuylkill, PA. ² The head of the household is Anna Beacher (age 25). She is a widow living with her daughter Mae (6); son George (4 years 7 months); and Anna (1 year 4 months.) Anna has no occupation.

However, we can assume who her father and mother are. Also in the same rental housing where Anna lives is a household headed by George Sverha (65, coal miner) and Dora (54). Both are listed as being born in Austria, Solvak. George immigrated in 1886. Dora and son John immigrated in 1887. All were naturalized in 1893. Their children living with them are John (34); George (20); Susan (23); Joseph (19): and Michael (17). The census was recorded on January 9, 1920.

Beacher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Neumeister, 524 East Centre street, and Peter Zagorskie, son of Mrs. Mildred Zagorskie, 335 West Lloyd street, were married Saturday afternoon at 4 o'clock in Annuciation Church. Rev. C. V. O'Brien performed the ceremony.
The bridge wore a white lace gown with a chantilly veil and carried a shower boquet of white roses and sweet peas. Her maid of honor, Miss Stella Zagorskie, a sister of the bridegroom, was attired in an aqua chiffon gown with cerise accessories, and carried a bouquet of red roses.
George Beacher, a brother of the bride, was the best man. Both men wore the conventional black.
A reception was tendered the bridal party at the home of the bride's parents.

Ferguson St., Shenandoah, died recently at the home of her daughter, Sandra Blewis, 941 Delaware Ave., Bethlehem. Born in Shenandoah, she was a daughter of the late John and Anna (Sverha) Beacher, and attended the Shenandoah schools. She was a member of St. Casimir Church, the International Ladies Garment Workers Union and Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. She also held a membership in the Shenandoah Area Senior Citizens and was a retired employee of the Shen Ann Dress Factory, Shenandoah. Her husband, Peter, died on Dec. 1,1989. Surviving are a son, John, Lititz; daughter, Mrs. Stanley (Sandra) Blewis, Bethlehem; sister, Mae Zitkus, Shenandoah, and eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be held Wednesday from the Oravitz Home for Funerals, Shenandoah. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. in St. Casimir's Church followed by interment in the parish cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 6 to 9 p.m.
