Richard J. Snyder died at his home, No. 949 North Fifth street at 3.40 o'clock yesterday morning following a complication of diseases. He had been in ill health several months. He was a native of Allentown, a son of the late William and Harriet, nee Eisenhart, Snyder. There survive his wife Minerva, nee Shappell, four children, William R., Roy D., Mrs. Marian Krause, of Allentown; Earl M., Philadelphia; two grandchildren. Deceased was a carpenter by occupation and was a member of Allentown Lodge, No. 129, Loyal Order of Moose. The funeral will be held on Monday at 1.30 p. m. with services at his home, Rev. C. D. Huber officiating. Burial will be made in Highland cemetery.

He married Minerva Shappell-Snyder (8-5) on February 22, 1894 and they had five children.
