E. Henry Knerr died this morning at his home, No. 230 North Twelfth Street, of chronic nephritis, aged 59 years and 4 months.
Deceased was born in Lowhill Township Dec. 19, 1849, and was a son of Jonas and Susan Muehlhaus Knerr. April 19, 1873, he was married to Isabela S. Diehl, who with the following children, survives: Mrs. Eugene S. Miller, Allentown; Blaine J., Tarrytown, N. Y.; Carries S. A., Katie I., Emma L. and Lizzie E., Allentown. Three grandchildren, one brother, Willoughby of this city, and one sister, Mrs. Kate Heller of Walberts, also survive.
Up to six years ago he and his family resided near Weidasville. He served as justice of the peace in Lowhill Township for 21 years and County Auditor for one term. In politics he was a Republican. He was one of the first registrars of the Eleventh Ward, serving until his illness. He was a member of Central Lodge N. 636, I. O. O. F., Jordan, and a charter member of the Lowhill Mutual Aid Association, of which society he was secretary for 19 years.
He was a member of the Morgenland Reformed Church where he served as deacon and treasurer for a number of years. By trade he was a shoemaker, working at the same until he was taken sick.
The funeral will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with services at the house. Burial will be made in Greenwood Cemetery.

After suffering for eleven months with chronic nephritis E. Henry Knerr, of No. 230 North Twelfth street, a well known resident of this county, passed into eternal rest at an early hour yesterday morning.
Deceased was born in Lowhill township on Dec. 19, 1849, and was a son of Jonas and Susan Muehlhaus Knerr.
On the 19th of April, 1973, he was married to Isabella S. Diehl, who with the following children, survives: Mrs. Eugene S. Miller, Allentown; Blaine J., Tarrytown, N. Y.,; Carrie S. A., Katie I., Emma L. and Lizzie E., Allentown. Three grandchildren, one brother, Willoughby, of this city, and one sister, Mrs. Kate Heller, or Waibert's, also survive.

After suffering for some months, E. Henry Knerr, of North Twelfth street, Allentown, known here, died on Friday morning, aged 60 years.
The deceased was a justice of the peace in Lowhill township, Lehigh county, for the past 21 years.
The deceased was a relative of the Rev. J. K. Knerr, of Chestnut street, this city.
