Guth, George B. Heilman, Blaine J. Knerr, George A. J. Buchman and Emma L. Knerr missed but one day. The number of pupils is 31 and the percentage of attendance 93.

Newspaper: Allentown Democrat: Katie Knerr's Party, 26 Mar 1902, Allentown, Lehigh, PA. 21 ITEMS FROM LEATHER CORNER POST. - Present indications all point to the speedy establishment of a post office at Leather Corner Post. A U.S. Postal Inspector was here on Saturday, and though he did not express an opinion he seemed to be favorably impressed with the movement.
Miss Katie Knerr, of Allentown, paid a visit to her parents, Squire and Mrs. E. H. Knerr, over Sunday. Saturday evening a social party was given to her as a mark of honor. After greetings a round of merry-making was brought under way, and which was kept up until about 11 o'clock, when the hostess invited her guests to partake of a sumptuous collation of toothsome viands, and all hands entered into the enjoyment of the set out. After this pleasant feature of the evening had been enjoyed, and the tables cleared, plays and parlor amusements of different kinds were again taken up and merrily indulged in until a late hour, when the company bade good bye to their hostess and returned to their homes, well pleased with the pleasure the evening had afforded one and all. Among those present were George C. Buchman, B. J. Knerr, Charles M. Klotz, R. G. Kemmerer, E. A. Werley, Max George, of Westfield, N. J., Solomon Litzenberger, of Cetronia, Guy Ebert, of Schnecksville, and Misses Ella Miller, Carrie Acker, Carrie Klotz, Laura Haas, Mamie Klotz, Eva Buchman, Eva Geiger, Katie Knerr, Emma Knerr and Lizzie Knerr.

The evening was pleasantly spent in playing games of various kinds. Piano solos were rendered by Miss Lichtenwainer and Mr. Bernhard. Refreshments were served. Those present were Emma Knerr, Robt. Rev. R. M. Kern at the parsonage at 10 o'clock yesterday morning united in marriage Frank Berry [sic] of 229 North West street and Miss Katie Knerr of 230 North Twelfth street. The ring ceremony was employed. Following the ceremony the young couple left on a wedding tour to Philadelphia, to be gone a week. Upon their return they will reside, until spring, with the bride's mother, when they will go to housekeeping.
Mr. Berry is employed as a bookkeeper at the Atlas Portland Cement Company. The bride was formerly employed at the Adelaide Silk Mills.

24. Obituary: Morning Call: Mrs. Katie I. Bury on 11 Aug 1972 in Allentown, Lehigh, PA. 15 Mrs. Katie I. Bury, 87, died Thursday in the Phoebe-Devitt Home, Allentown. She was the widow of Frank H. Bury, and formerly resided at 32 N. 14th St., Allentown.

Born in Lowhill Township, she was a daughter of the late Henry and Isabella (Diehl) Knerr. She was a member of St. James United Church of Christ, Allentown.

Surviving are a son Hubert of Allentown; four daughters, Myra, wife of Dr. William H. Behringer Jr. of Allentown, Betty, wife of Dr. Mattison Alderman of Whispering Pines, N.C., Adele, wife of Gen. William Stiles of McLean, Va., and Isabel, wife of John H. Beacher of Oradell, N.J.; a sister, Mrs. Betty Sotzing of Long Island, N.Y.; 15 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday in St. James United Church of Christ, 15th and Walnut streets, Allentown. There will be no calling hours.

Arrangements are being handled by the J.S. Burkholder Funeral Home, 1601 Hamilton St., Allentown.
