Young, 82, a former resident of Northumberland RD2, died this morning in the Mansion Convalescent Home, Sunbury. Born in Milton, Nov. 18, 1899, she was the daughter of the late William and Sarah Kelly Bucher. Mrs. Young was preceded in death by her husband, Russell H. Young Sr., in 1959. She was a former employee of the Susquehanna Silk Mill, Sunbury.
For many years, she was employed as a cook at the Joseph Priestley Elementary School Cafeteria, Northumberland. She was a member of Albright United Methodist Church, Sunbury. Mrs. Young is survived by three children, Russell H. Young Jr.
of Sunbury, Mrs. Irene G. Snyder of Paxinos RD1 and Mrs. Gladys O. Yoxheimer of Northumberland; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, Northumberland, by the Rev. Clement G. Ladd. Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Milton.
Friends will be received in the funeral home Wednesday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service.
