Miss Nancy Lee Beecher, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Beecher, Newville R. R. 1, became the bride of Roger Allan Hoover, son of Mr. and Mrs. Mac L. Hoover Newville K. K 2. on Sept. 4, 1960, at 3 p.m. in the Centerville Lutheran Church.
Rev. Vaughn, of York, former pastor of the Centerville Lutheran Church, officiated at the double-ring ceremony. George Houck. Newville, sang. Miss Shirley Stitt, Newville R. R., was organist.
The bride, given in marriage by her mother and father, wore a floor-length gown of white nylon-tulle lace over taffeta, with scalloped neckline and short sleeves. She wore matching nylon-tulle lace pointed mitts. Her fingertip-length illusion veil fell from pearls. She carried a white Bible witn a white orchid and pompon streamers.
Miss Peggy Beecher, Newville R. R. 1, sister of the bride, was attendant. She wore a royal blue silk chiffon over taffeta dress, with a matching headpiece and white mitts. She carried a colonial bouquet of blue and white carnations, with streamers of white pompons.
Charles L. Hoover, Newville R. R. 2, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Barry N. Hoover, brother of the bridegroom, and James Clifford, both of Newville R. R. 2, were ushers.
A reception was held at the Centerville parish house following the ceremony. After a wedding trip the couple will live for the present at the home of the bridegroom, Newville R. R. 2.
The bride attended Big Spring high school, where she was a member of the band color guard. The bridegroom, a graduate of Big Spring high school, class of 1959, attended Shippensburg State college. He is employed at the Community Drug Store, Newville, and works part-time with his father, at the Keystone Masonry company, Harrisburg.
