Beacher, son of Mr. and Mrs. B. Donald Beacher, 856 West Ave., Springfield. Rev. Ellsworth Jennings officiated. A reception at the Alpine Inn, Springfield, followed the ceremony. Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a satin empire gown trimmed in Venise lace on the bodice and detachable chapel train.

Mrs. Beacher was born in Chester, Pa., and moved to The Villages from Westchester, Pa., in 2005. She had retired after 11 years with the purchasing department at QVC in Westchester; she was a Methodist by faith; a member of The Villages Parrot Heads Club; and enjoyed playing golf, shopping and reading.

Survivors include husband, Duane B.; mother, Thelma DelGrande, Aston, Pa.; brother, Ron Steward, Wilmington, Del.; and sister, Pattie McNally, Westchester.

A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 16, at Hiers-Baxley Funeral Services of The Villages. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service, and the family has requested that friends attending dress in golf casual.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Shands University of Florida, Shands Office of Development, P.O. Box 100386, Kidney Transplant Unit, Gainesville, FL 32610.
