Franklin Wyatt provided the music, and Thomas P. Smith was soloist. Communion was served to the entire congregation. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter V. Beecher Jr., Rt. 6, Vincennes. Parents of the bridegroom are Mr. and Mrs. Donald Smith, Birmingham, Ala. The bride was escorted by her father and attended by her sisters, Mrs. Philip Rains of Louisville, Ky., who was her honor attendant, and Judy Beecher. The bridegroom's father was his best man and his brother, David, of Birmingham, was groomsman. The bride's brother, Robert S. Beecher of Patoka, and her brother-in-law, Philip M. Rains, Louisville, seated guests. The bride's gown was of white satin and white organza accented with rose lace. She wore a white hat and carried a lace nosegay with blue-tipped carnations, white roses and daisy pompons. The bride's attendants' dresses were of white diminity with a small light-blue and green floral print and were similar to the bride's gown. Each wore a pearl choker and a white hat with light-blue ribbons accents and streamers. They carried bouquets of daisies with blue streamers. Susan L. Sweeten registered the guests, and Barbara A. Smith and Lisa R. Smith of Birmingham, the bridegroom's sisters, and Mary L. Arends served at the reception in the Knox Chapel. Following a wedding trip to St. Louis, Mo. the couple is at home at Thunderhill Mobile Home Park, Rt. 6, Vincennes. Mrs. Smith, a Vincennes Lincoln High School graduate in 1974, is a business administration student at Vincennes University. Smith, who graduated from Birmingham Southern College and Indiana State University, is an assistant professor of psychology and special education at Vincennes University.
