Is He Truthful?
-----
Ed. Beher of Elwood, is in Rushville for a few days. He is a very fine looking young man, and, like his father, Marcus, is a true Democrat. He says the tin-plate factory at Elwood is a small, three-room concert that does not, at any time, employ more than fifteen men. -- Rushville Jacksonian
-----
The above may surprise some of Mr. Beher's friends at Elwood. The young man should learn to keep his mouth shut or speak the truth about one of the leading industries in the city of his adoption. -- Anderson Herald.

Edward Beher, for a number of years proprietor of a barber shop in this city, and who has recently resided at Frankton, died at that place Thursday afternoon.
His father-in-law, J. S. Birt, died last Monday and relatives and friends of the family who were at the funeral of Capt. Birt returned with the statement that Mr. Beher could not survive long.
Some months ago he was stricken with paralysis and had difficulty in getting around. Later a dropsical affection followed, growing more dangerous as time passed.
The arrangements for the funeral have not been made, but it will likely take place at his late home.

14. Obituary: Elwood Daily Record: Ed Beher Buried Today on 4 Jan 1908 in Elwood, Madison, IN. 21 ED BEHER BURIED TODAY
Former Elwood Citizen and Barber Died at Frankton.
Ed Beher, who held the heavy-weight championship of Elwood until Chauncey Marian appeared upon the scene, was buried at Frankton this afternoon, a large number of Elwood citizens and relatives being in attendance. Ed Beher was well known in this city, having ran a barber shop on West Main street, for a number of years, and had many friends here. Two years ago he gave up the barber business to take up the optical trade of fitting glasses. He was very successful, but was seized with a stroke of paralysis, which left him an invalid and for several months he was compelled to move about in an invalid chair. He recovered so far as to be able to travel around with the aid of crutches, but a wasting of the tissues set in from which he succumbed. He leaves a wife and four children to mourn the loss of a good father and an indulgent husband. No one has but good words to say for Ed Beher.
