Census in 1910 in Frankton, Madison, IN. ⁵ The 1910 census recorded renting at 3 Mulberry Street in Frankton: Elisabeth Beher, widowed, housekeeper in boarding house, 43, living with her son, Walter E. Beher, telephone operator, 15; daughters Mary A., 12, and Frances J., 10; and her brother Robert W. Birt, music teacher, 37. Everyone and their parents were born in Indiana. Elisabeth had birthed 5 children and 3 were alive in 1910.

Sells, near Raleigh, with approximately 35 attending from many places. Those enjoying the gathering were Mr. and Mrs. Orel Beher and Mrs. Robert Beher of Mooresville, Mr. and Mrs. William Beher, of Washington, Mr. and Mrs. Herbie Beher of Carthage, Mr. and Mrs. Cleveland Beher and granddaughter of Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Brijant of Anderson, Mr. and Mrs. Ora Brothers of Middletown, Mr. and Mrs. Carl Bott, of Muncie, Mr. and Mrs. Blaine Stephenson of Albany, Miss Mary Beher of Frankton, Mr. and Mrs. W. F. Jones and family, Mrs. Carl F. Beher, Mrs. Toss Beher, Mrs. Fred Jessup and the Misses Nellie and Maude Jones, all of Rushviile and Lenora Jones of Phoenix, Ariz.

Frankton -- A longtime Frankton resident, Miss Mary A. Beher, died early Sunday at the Mercy Hospital in Elwood after a three-month illness. She was the daughter of the late Edward and Elizabeth Birt Beher.

Miss Beher attended the Indiana State Normal School, at Terre Haute and she received her Bachelors and Masters degrees in education at Ball State University. She was a teacher at Washington School and served other Anderson schools for many years. She also taught in Frankton schools in earlier years.

Miss Beher was a charter member of the Bridge Club of Frankton and was an honorary member of the Progressive Club, Retired Teachers Club of Anderson and Order of the Eastern Star, No 501.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Clyde (Frances) Martin of Santa Maria, Calif.; two nephews, James Martin of Santa Maria and Walter E. Becher Jr. of Illinois; a niece, Elizabeth Becher Burton in Illinois; three grand-nieces; a grand-nephew; and a cousin in Frankton, Miss Pauline Frank.

Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the George C. Harper and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Maurice Kessler, officiating. Interment will take place in the K of P -- IOOF Cemetery at Frankton.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
