The insurance was placed in the Washington mutual fire insurance company. To the firemen who so successfully fought the flames the Messrs. Biecher extend their grateful thanks for their good work.

He was born at Adamstown, Lancaster county. He was a well-known local carpenter and wheelright. He is survived by his son, Benjamin P. Biecher, a local groceryman, and also two brothers, John Biecher, of Illinois, and Benjamin Biecher, of Oklahoma.

Rev. W. B. Happel, pastor of the First Reformed Church, this afternoon at two o'clock officiated at funeral services over the body of the late George Beicher, of this city, services at the house, 723 Walnut street, were followed by interment at Mt. Lebanon cemetery. A large number of relatives and friends attended.
