Beeker, servant, 18, Feb 1882, living in the household of Henry Gordon, farmer, 43, Jul 1857, and his wife Louisa D., 27, Jul 1873, and their children. Frank and Pearl had been married less than a year and she had birthed no children by 19 June 1900 when the census was recorded. Frank, his father, and Pearl were born in Indiana. Frank's mother was born in Ohio. pearl's father was born in Kentucky and mother in New Jersey.

Census in 1910 in Tippecanoe Township, Tippecanoe, IN. 14 The 1910 census recorded Frank Becker [sic, indexed wrong due to poor handwriting of Beeker by census taker], farmer, 43, living with wife Pearl, 28; Ross, 7; Lewis, 5; Mary Jane, 3; and Josephine, 1. The next home is Manford Beeker, widowed, farmer, 67, living alone. Eveyone and their parents were born in Indiana. The census column records Pearl had birthed 5 children and 4 were alive in 1900.

3. Census in 1920 in Lafayette, Tippecanoe, IN. 15 The 1920 census recorded renting a home at 402 Prune Avenue: Frank E. Becker [sic, indexed wrong due to poor handwriting of Beeker by census taker], boiler maker at railroad shop, 52, living with wife Pearl A., 37; Ross N., photographer at art gallery, 17; Lewis E., 14; Mary J., 12; E. Josephine, 10; and Alice M., 6. Everyone and their parents were born in Indiana, except Frank's mother in Ohio, and Pearl's father in Kentucky and mother in New Jersey.

4. Newspaper: Journal and Courier: Beeker-Hackleman Wedding, 16 Oct 1925, Lafayette, Tippecanoe, IN. 10 BEEKER-HACKLEMAN.
The home of Mrs. Pearl L. Beeker on South Twenty-sixth street, was the scene of a pretty wedding Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock when her daughter, Mary Jane, became the bride of Marshall Lamarr Hackleman of Chicago. The Rev. T. F. Williams read the ring service, in the presence of a few close friends and the immediate relatives. Miss Amelia Eberhardt played the Lohengrin wedding march for the entrance of the bridal couple and during the ceremony softly played "Love's Old Sweet Song". The bride was becomingly gowned in blue satin with hand embroidery as trimming. Mrs. Hackleman attended Jefferson high school and later graduated at the Lafayette Business college. She has been employed at the Purdue experiment station. Mr. Hackleman is a son of Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Hackleman of Chicago and was graduated from Purdue university in 1924. At present he is employed by the Western Electric company. After a short wedding trip Mr. and Mrs. Hackleman will be at home at 830 East Seventh street. Downer's Grove, Ill. Among the guests at the wedding were: Mr. and Mrs. H. L. Hackleman and Carl Backer of Chicago. A supper was served following the ceremony at tables appointed in yellow and white. Chrysanthemums were effectively used about the rooms.

Census in 1930 in Lafayette, Tippecanoe, IN. 16 The 1930 census recorded renting a home for $30 a month at 6 South 26th Street: Pearl Beeker, widowed, works at coal company, 48, living with Lewis E., 25; Josephine, stenographer at Purdue University, 21; Alice, 16; and Robert, 5. Everyone and their parents were born in Indiana except Pearl's father in Kentucky and mother in New Jersey.

6. Newspaper: Journal and Courier, 22 Jul 1935, Lafayette, Tippecanoe, IN. 17 Mr. and Mrs. M. L. Hackleman of Downers Grove, Ill, are the parents of a daughter, Nancy Alice, born Sunday morning at the home of Mrs. Hackleman's mother, Mrs. Pearl Beeker, 141 Sheetz street, West Lafayette. Mrs. Hackleman was formerly Miss Mary Jane Beeker.

Beeker, widowed, occupation "rooming students in own home", 58, living with sons Ross, bookkeeper in bank 37, and Robert, 15. They were born in Indiana and lived in the same house in 1935. Also in the home is a roomer Warren Grise, 20, tutoring students and odd jobs at Purdue University.

10. Obituary: Journal and Courier: obituary of Mrs. Pearl A. Beeker on 19 Jan 1954 in Lafayette, Tippecanoe, IN. 12 Mrs. Pearl A. Beeker, 71, died in her home, 1006 South Twenty-Fifth street, at 9:50 a.m. Tuesday after an illness of five months. Born in White county, she lived at 141 Sheetz street, West Lafayette, for over 20 years before moving to the Twenty-Fifth street address two years ago. She was a member of Trinity Methodist church and active in its women's circles. She also was a member of Order of Eastern Star chapter No. 507, West Lafayette, and the Navy Mothers club. Surviving are three sons, Ross N., of West Lafayette, and Lewis E. and Robert, of Lafayette; three daughters, Mrs. M. L. Hackleman, Downers Grove, Ill., Mrs. L. R. Hall, Long Island City, N. Y., and Mrs. E. H. Frasier, Indianapolis; three brothers, Thomas Bartlett, Great Falls, Mont., Richard M. Bartlett, Brook, and Harry Bartlett, Brookston, and two sisters, Mrs. John Campbell, Staples, Minn., and Mrs. Cassie Chamberlin, Los Angeles.


Pearl married Frank Ellsworth Beeker, son of Norcemous Beeker and Mary Jane Rush. (Frank Ellsworth Beeker was born on 5 Aug 1867 in Tippecanoe Township, Tippecanoe, IN,19 died on 24 Oct 1926 in Lafayette, Tippecanoe, IN 19 20 and was buried on 25 Oct 1926 in Battle Ground: Battle Ground Cemetery, Tippecanoe, IN 19 20.)
