Everyone and their parents were born in Indiana except Pearl's father in Kentucky and mother in New Jersey.

Robert Beeker, nine-year-old son of Mrs. Pearl Beeker, 141 Sheetz street, fractured both arms at the wrists, in a fall while at play Wednesday. He was taken to the Home hospital, where X-rays revealed a double fracture of one arm. After the injuries had been treated he was returned to his home. Young Beeker, having made one successful jump from the house fire escape to a nearby cherry tree, missed his hold on the tree limb and fell, when playmates dared him to try it again.

Also in the home is a roomer Warren Grise, 20, tutoring students and odd jobs at Purdue University.

The bride was attended by her sister, Mrs. Louis Sperb. Lewis E. Beeker attended his brother, the groom. Following tne ceremony, a reception was held in the Beeker home. Mrs. M. L. Hackleman and Mrs. Ross N. Beeker, both sisters of the groom, served at a table covered with linen upon which pink tapers and pink carnations in low bowls were placed. The bride is employed at the Warren Paper Products company. After graduation from West Lafayette high school, the groom served three years in the Marine corps, spending 15 months in the Pacific theater. He is employed at the Brown Rubber company. After a few days in Chicago Mr. and Mrs. Beeker will reside at 1320 Ferry street.

Beeker, 79, of 309 Winesap Drive, died at 2:35 p.m. Sunday, July 25, 2004, in his residence. Born Aug. 22, 1924, in Lafayette, he was a lifelong resident. Mr. Beeker worked as a machinist for Fairfield for 23 years, retiring in 1986. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Marine Corps in the Pacific Theater. He was a former member of Trinity United Methodist Church. Surviving are two sons, David Beeker of Lafayette, and Gerald Beeker (wife: Janet) of Lafayette; and a daughter, Janet Igo (husband: Mike) of Lafayette; and a companion, Doris Wyant, with whom he resided.


Robert married Rose Imogene Mathes, daughter of Willard Mathes and Maude Hathaway, on 28 Feb 1948 in Lafayette, Tippecanoe, IN.1 2 The marriage ended in divorce.
