Born March 19, 1919, in Walnut Bottom, she was the daughter of the late Owen Wheeler and Pearl Mac Beecher Baughman, and the widow of Robert Hoover Pechart. She was a graduate of Boiling Springs High School. She owned and operated her own beauty shop, Elizabeth Pechart Beauty Salon. She was a member of the Golden Age Club, Boiling Springs, and a member of the Mt. Zion Lutheran Church, Church-town. She enjoyed knitting. Surviving are her daughter, Carolyn Link and her husband Spencer, of Woodbury, N.J.; two sons, Donald R. Pechart and his wife Pauline, of Dillsburg, and Irene Pechart William Owen Pechart and his wife Julie, of Mechanicsburg; six grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Scott Pechart, and four brothers, Claude, John, Paul and Clair Baughman. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hoffman-Roth Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., 219 N. Hanover St., Carlisle, with the Rev. Sara Heintzelman officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Cemetery, Churchtown. A viewing will be held from noon until the time of the service at the funeral home on Tuesday.
