Myerstown, Pa., Dec. 22 -- Pushing a 250-pound hog in a wheel-barrow for two miles over country roads was the feat accomplished by Mrs. Morris Biechert, a woman with extraordinary muscle.
She had been given the porker for work done for Jonathan Keeney, tenant on Rev. D. U. Wolff's farm, near her, and selling it to Butcher John Bollinger, had agreed to have it delivered at his place at a certain time. But she could get no one to take it there.
Undismayed she obtained a wheel-barrow, tramped two miles from this place to Keeney's farm, shot the hog herself, and loading it on the barrow, reached the butcher shop here before the porker had stiffened.

Obituary: Reading Eagle: obituary of Mrs. Morris Bicher on 27 Sep 1927 in Reading, Berks, PA. 13 Myerstown, Sept. 27 (Special) -- Emma (Spangler), wife of Morris Bicher, died at her East Main avenue home, aged almost 54 years. Mrs. Bicher was ill for two weeks, suffering from complications. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Stouchsburg, and is survived by her husband and these children: Anna and George, Philadelphia; Phyllis, Merchantville, N.J.; Edna, Henry and Morris, at home. She is also survived by these brothers and sisters: Mrs. Samuel Morris, Philadelphia; Mrs. Mary Stein, of town; John Spangler, Pottsville; and Wilson Spangler, Jonestown. Funeral Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with services at the home and interment in the new Union cemetery. The arrangements are being made by Funeral Director Isaac N. Bahney.
