She had birthed 4 children, 3 were alive in 1900: Fern, 11, Feb 1889; Howard, 8, Feb 1892; and Clyde, 1, Sep 1898. Everyone was born in Indiana. Syrus' parents were born in Pennsylvania; Julia's father was from Ohio, and mother from Indiana. 2. Porter, pastor of the First Methodist church. The couple, awaiting to be married, greeted Rev. Mr. Porter upon his return from Dayton, Fla., where he had been some time. Postmaster J. A. Smith, who had brought the pastor and his daughter, Miss Gladys Porter, to their home from the union station in his automobile, and Mrs. Porter were the only witnesses of the wedding. The couple will live at 1006 Boulevard. Both young people are wll known in El Paso, having lived here for some time, and their wedding was very much of a surprise to their acquaintances. 4.
