  General Notes:

In the Sunbury American newspaper, dated March 17, 1876, was this death notice:

"In this place, at the residence of her son-in-law, Henry BUCHER, Sr., Rebecca HARP, aged about 77 years."

This indicates that a Henry Bucher Sr. married a Harp, but is that the Henry W. Bucher born 1825 who married Malinda ?, or the Henry D. Bucher born 1842 who married Louisa C.? Reviewing the ages, it appears Harp married Henry born 1825.

She Henry is a ferryman, and The History of Northumberland County states the ferry was run by the original pioneer Henry Bucher (1764-1824) we assume this Henry is the grandson, still operating the family business.
