Born Feb. 6, 1952, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Marion Wallace and Esther Catherine Bickett Beecher. She was married June 12, 1971, in Royal Center, to Ken A. Phillips.

She was a special education teacher in Buckland, Alaska.

Connie loved her family, friends and all of her students. She also enjoyed spending a lot of time outdoors in Alaska with Ken.

Surviving are her husband, Ken Phillips, Buckland, Alaska; son, Jacob Phillips and wife, Dusty, Nome, Alaska; daughter, Amy Chan and husband, Cameron, Scottsdale, Ariz.; grandson, Luke Phillips, Nome, Alaska; and brother, Jim Beecher, Royal Center.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Kip Beecher.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Royal Center Cemetery.

The family invites everyone to gather at their home after the graveside services.
