Mrs. Elizabeth Beecher is the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Samuel J. Miller, Chambersburg R. D. 1, and Mr. Beecher is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John S. Beecher, Newville R. D. 1.
Their children attending were Miss Leona Beecher, Gerald T. Beecher, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Widney, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Beecher, Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Frengel, Mr. and Mrs. Doyle Ashburn, Mr. and Mrs. James Campbell and Dr. and Mrs. Philip Gallucci.

She was the widow of Samuel A. Beecher. Surviving are two sons, Gerald T. of Fayetteville and Richard W. of Shippensburg; six daughters, Leona I. Beecher of Ickesburg, Margaret I. Widney and Nancy C. Sommerville, both of Chambersburg, Mary B. Frengel of Walnut Bottom, Joan E. Ashburn of Carlisle and Rebecca L. Gallucci of Cape Neddick, Maine; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services were scheduled this morning in Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home, Shippensburg. Burial will be in Centerville Memorial Gardens, Penn Twp.

Beecher, 86, formerly of Walnut Bottom, died at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 25, 1992, in Leader Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Chambersburg. Born March 19, 1906, in Greene Township, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Mary C. Garman Miller. She was a member of Centerville Lutheran Church, its Friendly Sunday School Class and Bush Workers Group. Her husband, Samuel A. Beecher, died March 8, 1984. Surviving are two sons, Gerald T. of Fayetteville and Richard W. of Shippensburg; six daughters, Leona I. of Ickesburg, Margaret I. Widney and Nancy C. Somerville, both of Chambersburg, Mary B. Frengel of Walnut Bottom, Joan E. Ashburn of Carlisle, and Rebecca L. Gallucci of Cape Neddick, Maine; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Fogelsanger-Bricker Funeral Home Inc., Shippensburg. The Rev. Paul Whitmoyer will officiate. Burial will be in Centerville Memorial Gardens, Penn Township. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Centerville Lutheran Church, Walnut Bottom Road, Newville 17241.
