8. Obituary: Hanover Evening Sun: Obituary of Mrs. Martha S. Beecher on 12 May 1939 in Hanover, York, PA. 11 Mrs. Martha S. Beecher, widow of George Calvin Beecher, died at 5 o'clock last evening at the home of her daughter, Miss E. Grayce Beecher, Evanston, Ill. She was 90 years old. Surviving are five children, two step-brothers, M. C. and Charles Eicholtz, Arendtsville, and three step-sisters, including Mrs. Amos Sheeley, Arendtsville. The body will be taken to York for interment.

Surviving are these children: Dr. S. E. Beecher, Wilmette, Illinois; Mrs. P. A. Geesey and Mrs. E. A. Schriver, both of York; Dr. G. N. Beecher and Miss E. Grayce, both of Evanston, Illinois; three step-brothers, Dr. Robert Eicholtz, Syracuse, New York; M. C. Eicholtz and Charles Eicholtz, both of Arendtsville, and three step-sisters, Mrs. Amos Sheely, Arendtsville; Mrs. Sarah Leidig, Harrisburg, and Mrs. Anna Jingle, Cleveland, Ohio.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

10. Newspaper: Gazette and Daily: funeral of Mrs. Martha Beecher, 16 May 1939, York, York, PA. 12 Funeral services for Mrs. Martha S. Beecher, who died last Thursday at the residence of her daughter, Miss E. Grayce Beecher, at Evanston, Ill., were held yesterday morning at 10:30 o'lock at the Guy B. Creep Funeral home, 49 East Market street. Rev. Dr. Allan S. Meck, pastor of Trinity First Reformed church, officiated. Teh pallbearers were John Geesey, George Wagner, Robert Fluhrer, Beecher Dubs, John Paules and G. W. Nickol. Floral tributes were so numerous that four cars were required to carry them to Prospect Hill cemetery, where interment was made.
