Charles father was born in Pennsylvania and mother in Ohio. Minnie's father was born in Indiana and mother in Wisconsin. Charles and Minnie were married for 9 years and she had birthed 2 children by 1910.

2. Census in 1920 in Peru, Miami, IN. 7 The 1920 census recorded at 356 E. Fifth St.: Charles W. Beecher, Peru Trust Co. bookkeeper, 47, living with wife Minnie, 42; and daughters Katrina, 16; Evelyn, 10; Grace, 7; and Barbara, 7. Everyone was born in Indiana. Obituary: Peru Chronicle on 19 May 1926 in Peru, Miami, IN. 1 Minnie Katrina BEECHER eldest daughter of Charles and Minnie (PERSHING) BEECHER, died Tuesday evening at 8:30 o'clock at the family home, 356 East Fifth street, following an illness of nine weeks. Miss Beecher succumbed to an attack of sleeping sickness.

Miss Beecher was a native of Peru, having been born here January 23, 1903, her age at death being 23 years, 3 months and 25 days. She was graduated from the Peru high school with the class of 1920 and graduated from DePauw University in 1924. At DePauw she was made a member of the Cosmopolitan Club and was also a member of the Student Volunteers.

Miss Beecher was exceptionally brilliant along educational lines and was one of the favored teachers at Crown Point, Ind., at the beginning of her illness. She was brought home nine weeks ago and her condition grew worse, until the end last evening. The remains were taken to the Fetter-Allen mortuary for burial preparation and will be returned to the home this afteernoon.

Surviving are the parents and three sisters, Julia Evelyn [BEECHER], Grace Elizabeth [BEECHER] and Barbara Helen [BEECHER], all living at home. The funeral services will be conducted from the First Methodist Church of which the deceased had been a devoted member, Thursday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock. The services will be in charge of the Rev. A. H. BACKUS and who will be assisted by the Rev. U. S. A. BRIDGE, of Wabash. Interment will be in Mount Hope. -- Peru Chronicle

The Beechers are well known to many residents of this city and often visit friends and relatives here.
