FOUNTAIN SPRINGS - Keith Harkins, a senior at Cardinal Brehnan High School, was named student of the month for September. Harkins is president of the student body and served as class representative for his freshman, sophomore, and junior years. He has been a member of the National Honor Society since his sophomore year. He was awarded a scholarship to the Governor's School for International Studies at the University of Pennsylvania and was the school's candidate for the Hugh O'Brien Leadership Seminar. Harkins is a member of the yearbook staff and the German Club and participates in baseball. Upon graduation, he plans to attend college and major in chemistry. He is a son of John and Elaine Harkins, Shenandoah Heights.
