1. Census in 1920 in Mahanoy Twp., Schuylkill, PA. 4 The head of the household is Anna Beacher (age 25). She is a widow living with her daughter Mae (6); son George (4 years 7 months); and Anna (1 year 4 months.) Anna has no occupation.

However, we can assume who her father and mother are. Also in the same rental housing where Anna lives is a household headed by George Sverha (65, coal miner) and Dora (54). Both are listed as being born in Austria, Solvak. George immigrated in 1886. Dora and son John immigrated in 1887. All were naturalized in 1893. Their children living with them are John (34); George (20); Susan (23); Joseph (19): and Michael (17). The census was recorded on January 9, 1920.

2. Census in 1940 in Shenandoah, Schuylkill, PA. 14 In the 1940 Census at 524 E. Centre St. in Shenandoah was living George Beacher (indexed in census as Beacker), miner, in the household headed by Fred Neumeister, carpenter in coal industry, 64, and Fred's wife Anna Neumeister, seamstress in factory, 45, who was George's mother by her first marriage. George was born in Shenandoah, Fred in Lavelle, and Anna in Yatesville.

He enlisted 11 May 1942 in Philadelphia and was discharged 27 Feb 1945 in Philadelphia. His number was 389302.

Beacher, U.S.M.C., son of Mrs. Anna-Neumeister, 524 East Centre street, celebrated his birthday yesterday somewhere in the Southwest Pacific. Corporal Beacher entered the service two years and has been serving overseas since September, 1942.

8. Newspaper: Evening Herald: Twardzik-Beacher Webbing, 26 Dec 1944, Shenandoah, Schuylkill, PA. 18 One of Shenandoah's most prominent young women, Victoria J. Twardzik, and a veteran of many Pacific battles, Cpl. George M. Beacher, U.S.M.C., of Shenandoah, were united in marriage at St. Stanislaus Church this afternoon. Rev. Stephen J. Zmich, pastor of the church, officiated. The bride, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. J. J. Twardzik, 312 West Oak street, was attired in a lovely wedding gown with a white taffeta top and net skirt. Her veil, a bonnet type with pearls, matched her gown and she carried a white carnation atop a white prayer book to complete the attire.
She was given in marriage by her father. The matron of honor, Mrs. Robert Dunlap, a sister of the bride, was dressed in a beautiful gown fashioned along. the same lines as the bride's. She wore an ice-blue gown with a tafetta top and a net skirt and a blue veil to match. She carried light pink carnations to complete her attire. Cpl. Beacher, the bridegroom, was attired in his U. S. Marine dress uniform. His interests were attended by Pfc. Thomas Dougherty, U.S.M.C., of Centralia, Marine "buddy" who had been with the bridegroom in his many Pacific theatre campaigns.
Mrs. Beacher is a graduate of the Shenandoah Annunciation High School, class of 1939, while her husband is a J. W. Cooper High School alumnus and prior to his entrance into the armed forces, was employed at the Maple Hill Colliery.
He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Neumeister, 524 East Centre street, town, and has a total of 27 months overseas duty to his credit, engaging in battles at Saipan, Guam, and Guadacanal. He also has been in New Zealand and Australia. Professor Martz was at the organ and Mrs. Rice rendered several selections.
After the ceremony a reception for members of the immediate families was held at the home of the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Twardzik.
The couple will leave this evening for a honeymoon at Atlantic City, N.J., after which Cptl Beacher will return to his present base at the Marine Barracks, Philadelphia' Navy Yard.

Miss Victoria Twardzik and Cpl. George M. Beacher, U. S. M. C., popular Shenandoah couple, were united in marriage in St. Stanislaus R. C. church, Shenandoah, yesterday afternoon, by the pastor, the Rev. Stephen J. Zmich.
The bride, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. J. Twardzik, of Shenandoah, was attended by her sister, Mrs. Robert Dunlap, as matron of honor. The best man was Pfc. Thomas Dougherty, U. S. M. C., of Centralia.
The bridegroom, son of Mrs. Fred Neumeister, of Shenandoah, served 27 months in the South Pacific being stationed on Guadalcanal, Saipan, Guam and in New Zealand and Australia. He was employed at Maple Hill colliery before entering the service. At present he is stationed at the Marine Barracks at the Philadelphia Navy Yard. A reception followed the ceremony at home of the bride's parents, after which the couple lefft for a honeymoon in Atlantic City.

Requiem High Mass will be offered at 10 a.m. in the Annuciation BVM Church. Burial will be in Annuciation Cemetery. Viewing is Monday and Tuesday 6 until 10 p.m. with Scriptural Service Tuesday evening.

Funeral services were held for George (Buddy) Beacher, 124 Schuylkill avenue, Shenandoah Heights, from the Oravitz Home for Funerals.
High Requiem Mass was celebrated in Annunciation BVM Church by Rev. Thomas Kerestus. Rev. John A. Auchter, of St. Mauritius Church, Ashland, was present in the sanctuary. Anna Jones, organist, was accompanist for the choir.
REv. Kerestus presided at interment in the parish cemetery.
The Shenandoah Valley High School football team, led by Coach Geno Poli, and the Cardinal Brennan HIgh School team paid last respects Monday evening. Scripture services were conducted Tuesday evening by Rev. John Nugent and the Liturgical Society. Sisters of St. Joseph's and St. Mauritius Churches, Ashland; Cardinal Brennan High School, Annunciation and St. George's Churches, Shenandoah, also paid last respects.
The senior class of Cardinal Brennan High School attended the Mass.
Pallbearers were Joseph Brennan, Joseph Smyjunas, Albert Zitkus, Peter Kacelowicz, John Yancofsky an dClement Kubilus.
