Her mother sent her 4 children to an orphanage and in the 1910 census Adaline Woomer, 14, servant, was living in the home of Charles Blackburn, 42, and his wife Caroline, 36. She married Gomer Jenkins Evans (1892-1918) in Wellsburg, WV in 1916, but he was killed in action during World War I on 23 Jan 1918, just before the birth of their daughter, Alwyn Elizabeth Evans, on 10 Jul 1918 in Pittsburgh. On 29 Mar 1924 Adeline married Frederick J. Felbinger (1893-1972) and they had one son, George Paul Felbinger (1918-2003).
