Mr. Cook was born October 12, 1899 [error!] in Kentucky, a son of Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus B. Cook. He was a retired insurance salesman and a member of First Baptist Church.
Surviving are: his widow, Mrs. Jean Sutherland Cook of Walterboro; a son, Cyrus B. Cook of Baronette, Fla.; two daughters, Mrs. Shirley Rivers and Mrs. Beverly Walters; a brother, Charles Cook of Elkhart, Ind., and several grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday in Glendale Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Posey Belcher officiating, directed by the Brice W. Herndon and Sons Funeral Home.
