1. Census in 1900 in Cynthiana, Harrison, KY. 9 The 1900 census recorded renting a home at 129 Penn Street: Meddie L. Cook, widow, no occupation, 38, born Sep 1861, living with daughter Ella, 17, Aug 1882; Kathrin, 15, jul 1884; and Cyrus B. (mispelled as Saris), 12, Mar 1888. Everyone and their parents were born in Kentucky. Meddie had given birth to 4 children and 3 were alive in 1900.

2. Newspaper: The Courier-Journal, 29 Mar 1907, Louisville, Jefferson, KY. 10 Parents Relent At Last.
After a strenuous experience, C. B. Cook, nineteen years of this city, and Miss Blanche Dunn, aged sixteen of Cynthiana, were married here this afternoon at the home of Mrs. Mattie Cook, mother of the groom.
The Cooks formerly lived at Cynthiana, where the present bride and groom were sweethearts. The young couple recently decided to get married, but the parents objected. Tuesday the lovers ran off to Paris and tried to get a license, but failed. They then went to two other county seats, but at each were refused license. They then made plans to go to Jeffersonville, Ind., to-day. Hearing of the latter scheme the mother of the groom called up the mother of the bride over the long distance telephone and secured a withdrawal of the objections and the young couple secured a license and were married here at once.

3. Census in 1910 in Paris, Bourbon, KY, United States. 11 The 1910 census recorded renting an apartment at 124 W 10th Street: Cyrus B. Cook, railroad brakeman, 22, living with wife Blanche, 19; and son Cyrus B. Cook Jr., 1 year 6 months old when the census was recorded on 22 Apr 1910. Cyrus and Blanche were married for 3 years and this was their 1st marriage. Blanche was born in Kansas and her parents in Kentucky, where also Cyrus, his parents, and his son Cyrus were born. Living in their unit were two lodgers both employed as locomotive firemen: Robert B. Williams, 25, and Wayne T. Lafferty, 22.

4. Census in 1930 in Chicago, Cook, IL. 12 The 1930 census recorded renting Apt. 2 for $70 a month at 1361 East 63rd Street in Chicago: Cyrus B. Cook, railroad switchman, 42, living with wife Sarah W., 32; and son Billy, 15. Cyrus and Sarah and their parents were born in Kentucky, Billy was born in Ohio and his parents in Kentucky. In their apartment there were also three roomers subletting: John McVicker, railroad switchman 45; Joseph E. McCune, railroad switchman, 44; Sumner E. Barnes, ladies wear salesman, 62.

5. Census in 1940 in Lansing, Cook, IL, United States. 13 The 1940 census recorded renting an apartment for $32 a month at 17822 Burnham Avenue in Lansing: Cyrus B. Cook, railroad switchman, 52, living with wife Sarah, 42; son William, gas station attendant, 29, and William's wife Vivian, 22; and their sons William E., 4, and Donald L., 5 months old. Cyrus and Sarah were born in Kentucky. William was born in Ohio, and his wife and sons in Illinois. Also within their apartment were "boarders": Lawrence Jorgensen, age 5, and Joseph M. Griffith, 45, widowed.

6. Census in 1950 in Chicago, Cook, IL. 14 The 1950 census recorded at 6305 Apt A Kenwood Avenue:
Cyrus B. Cook, 62, railroad yardmaster clerk, living with wife Parha W. (census taker's mistake, should be Sarah). They were born in Kentucky. Two "lodgers" were living with them: Joseph Griffith, 54, railroad janitor, who was separated from his wife, and born in Illinois, and Lawrence Jorgenson, 15, unemployed.

7. Cause of Death: Cerebral thrombosis due to arterial atherosis due to arteriosclerotic hypertension. Other conditons: heart disease, 11 Feb 1963, Falmouth, Pendleton, KY, United States. 3

10. Obituary: Cincinnati Enquirer on 12 Feb 1963 in Cincinnati, Hamilton, OH. 8 Cyrus B. Cook, 75, 404 Liberty St., Falmouth, died Monday at his home. He was a retired employee of the Chicago, Western Pullman and Southern Railroad. He was formerly of Chicago but had lived in Falmouth for the last 10 years. He was born in Harrison County where he was a member of Cynthiana Christian Church.
He leaves wife, Mrs. Sarah Cook; four sons, Cyrus Cook Jr., and Charles, William and Lawrence Cook; eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Services be held Thursday at 2 p. m. at the Woodhead and Sons Funeral Home, Falmouth.
Burial be in Pythian Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home after 3:30 p. m. Wednesday.

11. Obituary: Lexington Herald on 12 Feb 1963 in Lexington, Fayette, KY. 7 FALMOUTH Feb 11 - Cyrus B. Cook, 75, died this morning at his home after a long illness. He was a retired employee of the Chicago Western Pullman and Southern Railroads. He was a native of Harrison County and was a member of the Cynthiana Christian Church.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Sarah Cook; four sons, Cyrus Cook Jr., Alabama; Charles Cook, Elkhart, Ind.; Willie Cook, Tacoma, Wash., and Lawrence Cook, Chicago, eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m, Thursday at the Woodhead and Sons Funeral Home by the Rev. Carl Sears. Burial will be In Pythian Grove Cemetery at Berry.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 pm Tuesday and after 3:30 pm Wednesday.
