Doris died February 27, 1930 from pneumonia and the Indiana Death Certificate for Doris Howard Berry (widow of Edward Berry) states she was born 1 June 1902 in Kentucky and her father's surname was "Howard" and mother's name unknown. The informant was Tosso L. Beher. Since her tombstone has birth year 1900, and her 1910 census states she was 10 years old, the 1902 birth date on the death certificate is likely wrong.

Mrs. Doris H. Berry, age 28 years, widow of Edward Berry, died Thursday night about seven o'clock at the home of her foster-father T. L. Beher, southeast of Carthage, death being caused from pneumonia.

The deceased was born in Kentucky but had lived in this county since she was five years of age. She was married to Edward Berry of Rushville on June 19, 1919. He died about three years ago.

Mrs. Berry had been ill for five days. She leaves a four year old daughter, Rosalyn and her foster father. A sister, whose place of residence is unknown, also survives. The deceased was a member of the Rebekah lodge and belonged to the Little Blue River Baptist church.

Funeral services will be held at the Blue River Baptist church at two o'clock Sunday afternoon in charge of the Rev. Watkins and burial will be made in East Hill cemetery.
