Structure Belonging to Owen Beher is Destroyed by Fire.

A large barn on the farm of Owen Beher, one mile west and thre-quarters of a mile north of Occident, caught fire about 7:30 o'clock Thursday night and burned to the ground.
The fire made a bright light which attracted considerable attention from the people in this city.
The origin of the fire is unknown. The barn was full of new hay, and it is supposed that spontaneous combustion started the blaze. The barn and all its contents, including 500 bushels of wheat, implements and other articles were destroyed. Thestock that was in the barn was saved. The fire burned until 9 o'clock, illuminating the heavens. The total loss is estimated at $2500, partially covered by $300 insurance.

Funeral Services To Be Held Saturday

Oren Beher, age 92 eyars, a retired farmer, died Thursday afternoon at 4:30 o'clock at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robert Holt, northwest of this city. He had been ill for some time and a comlication of diseases was given as the cause of his death.
He was born July 15, 1893 in Rush county, where he had lived all his life. He resided for several years in Carthage. He was a member of the Christian church in Carthage and was affiliated with the K. of P. lodge in this city.
His wife prceded him in death in June, 1921, and he is survived by six children: the daugther at whose home he died; Mrs. Olie Stevens of Knightstown; T. L. Beher of near Carthage; G. C. Beher of Anderson; Herbert of Carthage, and Howard of Elwood.
Funeral services will be held at the late residence Saturday afternoon at two o'clock and interment will be made in the Glencove cemetery in Knightstown.
