On the same census page is Elisha Laird, 33, with his family, and Charles Laird, 23, with his wife. On the following census page is George's father, Samuel Laird, with his family.

Obituary: Journal and Courier: obituary of Leonard Laird on 20 Dec 1945 in Lafayette, Tippecanoe, IN, USA. 15 OTTERBEIN, Dec. 20 -- Leonard Laird, 87 a former hardware and furniture dealer, died Wednesday in Chicago, where he had been living several years. He was a member of the Methodist church and York and Scottish Rite of Masonry.
Surviving are two children, Mrs. Anna McMullen of Largo, Fla. and E. Ray Laird of Chicago; one sister, Miss Clara Laird and a brother Elmer of Otterbein.
Body will arrive at Vogel funeral home Thursday afternoon. Services at 3 p. m. Friday, Methodist church. Burial at Montmorenci.


Leonard married Rebecca Hunt Sickler, daughter of Jacob Sickler Jr. and Rhoda Elizabeth Hunt, on 14 Feb 1886 in Otterbein, Benton, IN, USA.1 (Rebecca Hunt Sickler was born on 26 Nov 1866 in Pine Township, Benton, IN, USA,16 died on 22 Feb 1895 in Otterbein, Benton, IN, USA 16 17 and was buried in Montmorenci: Montmorenci Cemetery, Tippecanoe, IN, USA 16.)
