A neighbor, John BINKLEY, became suspicious after failing to see any life about the Beecher home for several days. In attempting to enter the home for investigation, Binkley found that both screen doors were locked. He summoned Marshal Frank BUCKINGHAM, who forced open a window and discovered the aged woman in her chair.
Coroner Dean K. STINSON was called and announced a verdict of death by heart attack. It is thought that Mrs. Beecher was fatally stricken Tuesday evening in preparing to retire.
